Sophie Prime (they/she) leads the Critics Community team at Rotten Tomatoes. Their work centers on stewarding the critics community through strategic relationship-building and thoughtful activations – from workshops and panels to in-person events and industry-facing campaigns that highlight the value of critical voices within the broader media ecosystem.
With a background in journalism, partnerships and community-building, Sophie cares deeply about how cultural ecosystems are shaped – and how more inclusive, connected and dynamic spaces can be created within them.
Sophie graduated from the University of Southern California in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Specialized Journalism (The Arts). They studied film, media theory and journalism at UC Berkeley and are a proud alum of The Daily Californian.
