Gisselle Palomera (they/them) is the Editor at Los Angeles Blade, SoCal’s LGBTQ+ news source. In this position, they contribute LGBTQ+ news to Caló News, a local, non-profit newsroom focused on Latin American communities. As a first-generation Latinx person with immigrant parents from Mexico and Colombia, their passion truly lies in their communities.

Gisselle previously worked as a Digital Innovation Fellow at The Wall Street Journal, after receiving a reporting grant from the International Center for Journalists. Most recently, they joined a global consortium of journalists trained on how to report with and on Artificial Intelligence after being accepted by The Pulitzer Center. They also love to dance on skates at the beach and listen to any and all types of music in Spanish.
