Kareem Awadalla (he/him) is an award-winning journalist, Fulbright Fellow, documentary producer and geopolitical analyst with a passion for uncovering untold stories and their impact on global affairs. As an American-Egyptian journalist, Kareem brings a unique international perspective to his work, blending in-depth storytelling with sharp geopolitical analysis.
He honed his skills in broadcast journalism at Arizona State University and gained invaluable experience through professional affiliations and appearances with major networks, including CNN, CBS News, PBS and Fox News. Over the past 18 years, Kareem has worked as a talk show host and producer, conducting insightful interviews and producing special reports that have earned international recognition. His expertise in Middle Eastern affairs and global geopolitics makes him a trusted source in news analysis and commentary
Beyond journalism, Kareem is the founder of a documentary production company, where he continues to explore complex historical and contemporary issues through compelling visual storytelling. His work has been featured in international media outlets, offering nuanced perspectives to audiences worldwide.
A dedicated advocate for NLGJA, Kareem was a founding member and former vice president of NLGJA South Florida. Now based in Los Angeles, he serves on the board of NLGJA’s Los Angeles chapter, supporting diversity and inclusivity in the media industry.
When he’s not behind the camera or in the newsroom, Kareem enjoys traveling and immersing himself in the cultural richness of different civilizations around the world.
